All books in Book Publisher International are published under the Open Access model. No subscription, registration, or access fees are required. Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full-text versions of all chapters.
Book Publisher International’s Authorship Policy is based on ICMJE criteria for authorship. Submission of a book chapter or monograph to Book Publisher International indicates that the author(s) have agreed on the content of the manuscript. One author should be indicated as the corresponding author for all publication related communications. The author(s) should substantially contribute to the design of the work; or the analysis, or interpretation of data for the work. The author(s) must participate in drafting or revising the work and approve the final version to be published. All correspondence and proofs would be sent to the corresponding author, who will be treated as a final representative voice for all authors regarding any decision related to the manuscript unless otherwise requested during submission.
Book Publisher International would not be responsible for any dispute related to authorship of a submitted monograph or book chapter. Any change in the authorship (such as addition or deletion of the author(s) or change in the sequence of author list) should be intimated to the editorial office through a letter signed by all authors before publication of the book. In absence of any signed letter, approval of final version (ready-to-be-published) by the corresponding author will work as the ‘certificate of final agreement of authorship’. Generally, any change in the authorship after final publication is not entertained and COPE guidelines are followed for any dispute.
Peer Review Policies and Review Process Flow
Book Publisher International aims to publish high-quality research work. All submitted book chapters or monographs are subject to peer review before publication. To know about Book Publisher International’s Peer Review Policies and Review Process Flow, kindly click here.
Book Publisher International strongly opposes the practice of duplicate publication or any type of plagiarism. Once submitted, all the manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism checking. Book Publisher International uses plagiarism checking software, which checks content uploaded by the Editorial office against a database of periodicals, the Internet, and a comprehensive database and generates a Similarity Report. If plagiarism is found in any monograph or book chapter after an internal investigation, a letter would be immediately sent to all the authors, their affiliated institutes and funding agency, if applied and subsequently the manuscript will be rejected.
Standard Protocol on Approvals, Registrations, Patient Consents & Animal Protection
All clinical investigations must be conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki principles. Regarding the patient’s consent for research or participation in a study, authors must comply with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (www.icmje.org). Patients’ details like names, initials (including figures), or hospital numbers must not be mentioned anywhere in the manuscript. Academic Editor may request the authors to provide documentation of the formal review and recommendation from the Institutional Review Board or Ethics Committee responsible for oversight of the study.
Book Publisher International’s Copyright Policy aims to guarantee that original material is published while at the same time giving significant freedom to the authors. The copyrights of all published monographs or book chapters are retained by the respective authors as per the ‘Creative Commons Attribution License’ (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Monographs are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license granted to all authors. The author(s) should be the sole author(s) of the article and should have full authority to enter into the agreement and in granting rights (if any) to Book Publisher International, which are not in breach of any other obligation. Authors should mandatorily ensure that submission of the book chapter to Book Publisher International would result in no breach of contract or of confidence or of commitment given to secrecy.
Book Publisher International is passionate about working with the global academic community to promote best scholarly research in the world. Book Publisher International normally follows the guidelines given in COPE website. The authors, academic editors, the reviewers, and the Societies (if applicable) are also requested to strictly follow this excellent guideline. For human or animal experimental investigations, a formal review and approval, or review and waiver, by an appropriate Institutional Review Board or Ethics Committee should be provided. This should be documented in the manuscript clearly. For human investigations, the way of informed consent collection from the study participants (i.e., oral or written) should be mentioned in the Methods section. Authors should obtain patient consent in the case of the confidential case history. In the case of briefcase vignettes which do not contain identifying information or if the case material is disguised adequately to prevent identification of the patient, consent is not necessary. The author(s) should inform the purpose of publication, the possible risks and benefits to the patient and the patient’s right to withhold or withdraw the consent. In the case of a minor patient, consent should be obtained from the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the patient(s).
Conflicts of Interest Policy
Book Publisher International is determined to promote integrity in research publication. All the authors, the academic editors, and the reviewers are required to transparently declare all possible conflicts of interest in line with publication ethics practices recommended by COPE, ICMJE, and other similar organizations. Financial contributions to the work should be clearly acknowledged, as should any potential conflict of interest.
