Book Publisher International is very much concerned about the policy for protecting your ("user") personal information. The privacy policy applies to www.bookpi.org is possessed and operated by Book Publisher International (“BPI”, "We", "Us" or “Our”). This privacy policy sets out how BPI uses and protects any information that is given by you when you use this website. BPI is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.

As per the principle of BPI, we never sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal data to anybody. We try to provide all possible cyber-security (possible by us) to protect all the information of the users. But the reality is that no website is 100% hacking proof. Therefore, BPI will not be responsible for any loss/theft of data, personal information, email ID, password, etc. and any kind of subsequent losses arising from these hacking, theft etc. Users are strongly advised to set the password as strong as possible by using a combination of alpha-numeric-special characters. Users are also strongly requested to use the password (for BPI account) separate from the passwords of their credit card, bank, email ID, etc.

Book Publisher International (a part of SCIENCEDOMAIN International) is an international publishing organization that publishes textbooks, atlases, monographs, e-books, edited volumes and reference books in scientific, technical, and medical areas. 2. Data Collection

Authors, Editors and other users can browse and view BPI website without providing any personal information. Registering in the BPI website and uploading bio-data, telephone number, email ID, etc. are completely optional and voluntary. Third parties are not allowed to see users’ personal information, unless they are publicly available as part of the publishing activities or approved by the users or are required by law to do so. We use your information to:

  • Allow Authors to access the information they need in order to publish their work
  • Allow BPI to send service email notifications or promotional messages about new publications released
  • Administer your account and customize the service we provide to you and other users
  • Provide your personal details to third parties offering combined services with BPI, enabling you to share your information and communicate with other users

3. For the above-mentioned purposes we may collect the following information:

  • The first name, Last name, academic/job title, Organization/Institution and previous publications.
  • Contact information in the form of email address, postal address, country of residence.
  • Other information regarding your scientific field of interest, education and work experience.
  • Password.

4. Collection of additional information

In order to deliver a better service, BPI tracks patterns of use on this site. Like all websites, we automatically receive from the Internet usage information such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data, your mobile provider, your mobile device and store it in log files. We use cookies and other technologies to recognize you, study traffic patterns on our website and customize your experience. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most of the browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer you can usually modify the browser setting to decline cookies. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

5. Users’ Rights

Authors, Coauthors, Editors and Coeditors can choose what information you make available to other registered and unregistered users. You are free to change your personal information at any time except your login e-mail address. BPI will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. If the personal information changes, you may correct, update or delete it by making the change on your user panel, or by contacting us by email.

You are welcome to submit a request to close your BPI account at any time. If you no longer need our services, or you want to deactivate your account, you can contact us by email at contact@bookpi.org. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Open Access

Publication of an article in Book Publisher International is intrinsically an open process. Immediately after publication of a manuscript, the name, surname, affiliation and email address of the corresponding author will be available to website users with the sole purpose to facilitate scientific communication. Collecting these email addresses for commercial use is strictly prohibited.

7. Third Parties

BPI will only share personal information with third parties in ways that are described in this privacy policy. In certain situations, BPI may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

BPI does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law so as to comply with a legal process. Please note that in order to deliver certain services (for example, Chapter publication), we may share information with third parties. To process payments made by you, we share some of your information with the payment gateway company we use. While you are entitled to decline to provide the information requested, this may prevent us from providing the services requested. In the case of delivery of hard copies of books to authors or other parties ordering such publications, we share with third parties conducting postal delivery services the information required in order to carry out the delivery. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. If BPI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email.

8. Email Policy

If users have previously agreed to receive email/newsletter services using the personal information for, BPI may contact registered members from time to time to let them know information that may be of interest. You may opt out from receiving such email when registering as a member, or at any time thereafter by responding to such an email or contacting customer services. Additionally, users can also unsubscribe by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ button in all our marketing emails.

9. Changes in the policy

If we make a decision to change our privacy policy, we will display those changes to privacy policy page, the home page, and other pages we consider appropriate to make you aware of the updated information. We reserve the authority to disclose members' personal information if required to do so by law, or in the belief that such action is logically necessary to comply with legal process, respond to claims, or protect the rights, property or safety of BPI, employees or members.
