The book titled – Introduction to Building Climatology in Tropical Region became very necessary as it will educate students and the professional practitioners in the field of Architecture and built-environment on the impact of climatic factors on buildings and the inhabitant’s comfort. The book is an elementary study of building climatic factors as it affects the built-environment. It is very insightful and has successfully captured the issue of climate as related to the tropics by itemizing and discussing its various influence on buildings and the users thereby given useful design tips and professional methods of ensuring desirable buildings in the tropical environment.

The book tackles and gives suggestion on how to mitigate and adapt to the climatic challenges affecting buildings in the tropics, importantly, in the Nigeria context. The book came with a very short, concise and details of the building climatology that is requires by the students of Architecture and built-environment as choice lecture materials for building effective functionality and sustainability.
