New Advances in Materials Science and Engineering

This book aims to publish current research on scientific and/or engineering factors which affect the microstructure – strength relationships of materials and report the changes to mechanical behaviour. It covers advanced research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials, theoretical and experimental studies related to the load-bearing capacity of materials as influenced by their basic properties, processing history, microstructure and operating environment. The scopes are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibres, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials.
